Can you form an LLC in any US state?
Yes. We file in all 50 US states plus DC. Delaware, Wyoming, Nevada, Texas, and Florida are our most common choices for clients forming out-of-state.
What state should I form my LLC in?
Generally, form in the state where you physically operate. Out-of-state formation (Delaware, Wyoming) only makes sense for specific legal or tax strategies — otherwise you'll end up registering as a 'foreign LLC' in your home state anyway, paying two filing fees. We cover this in your intake call.
How long does it take to form an LLC?
We submit your filing same-day. State approval varies: 24–48 hours in Wyoming and Delaware, 3–5 business days in Texas and Florida, up to 2–4 weeks in New York and California. Your EIN arrives within 24–48 hours of approval.
Do I need a BOI report?
Almost certainly yes. Since 2024, the Corporate Transparency Act requires most US LLCs to file a Beneficial Ownership Information report with FinCEN within 90 days of formation. Compliance Plus includes this filing. Penalties for non-compliance are up to $500/day.
